DESCRIPTION
In Japan, wind chimes hold a cherished place as a traditional emblem of summer. Carried by the breeze, their distinct and irregular melodies were once a source of refreshment in the days before air conditioning.
Among these charming wind chimes emerged the watermelon variant in the 1980s. When suspended, this watermelon chime tilts to reveal the red fruit within. The design seemingly draws inspiration from the image of a split watermelon, its jagged outline enhancing its visual appeal.
Notably, each piece's color is crafted by hand, imparting a unique touch to every creation.
