DESCRIPTION

When using induction heating, use low to medium heat.
Do not wash with detergent.
Do not wash using a sponge or scrubber.
Wipe off the excess water around the lid and other parts well, as discoloration and rusting can easily occur.
Please note that cooking near this pot may result in oil stains and discoloration due to oil splashes.
If the gas flame reaches the body of the pot, the part is likely to discolor, so be careful not to increase the heat too much.
Used over an open flame, the base will gradually turn white.

Iron Sand Kettle

The use of iron sand as part of the cast iron material reduces the carbon content, resulting in a material similar to that of Japanese swords, which is characterized by its hardness. It is made using an iron-making technique called WAZUKU(和銑), which is similar to the iron casting technique used in Japan before the 19th century.
It is a valuable material because the collection of iron sand suitable for casting has become scarce.
The degree of difficulty in casting and molding is extremely high, and the material and process are rarely manufactured in modern times. For this reason, it is rarely available on the market and there are few craftsmen who manufacture it.
Due to the characteristics of the aforementioned materials, the differences between tetsubin and tetsubin that are widely distributed today are as follows;
-The material is resistant to rust, and there is little elution of iron.
-Harder material, which is more susceptible to cracking when dropped or otherwise impacted.

Surface Finish
In order to emphasize the three-dimensional shading of the pattern, the surface is polished after baking the lacquer.
