Notice

The surface is coated with an antirust oxide layer using the traditional technique called kama-yaki, but because it is cast iron, rust may occur due to moisture and humidity.
Since the inside is not enameled, the leached iron and tannin may bind and discolor the tea. It is harmless to the human body.

DESCRIPTION

We aspire to craft Nambu ironware that harmonizes seamlessly with a diverse range of interior aesthetics, be it Western or Japanese.

Driven by this unwavering conviction, our eighth-generation craftsman meticulously translated a multitude of design sketches into the distinctive grain pattern that adorns our creation. The knob's configuration reminiscent of a blossoming flower bud further accentuates its elegance.

With an impressive height and a volumetric capacity of 0.6 liters, this piece surpasses the dimensions of Arare (small) or Hisago kettles.

The strainer, characterized by its elevated stature and generous expanse, facilitates the optimal expansion of tea leaves. Beyond serving as a utilitarian vessel for boiling water in daily routines, it also assumes the role of an exquisite teapot.

2-in-1 Iron kettle and teapot type

You can use this type not only to boil water over an open flame, but also as a teapot with a tea strainer inside.
Nambu ironware is produced using the traditional technique called "kama-yaki" to generate an oxide layer on the surface. It leads to "rust resistance" and "dissolved iron effect" and makes tea and coffee taste better.
