Notice

The surface is coated with an antirust oxide layer using the traditional technique called kama-yaki, but because it is cast iron, rust may occur due to moisture and humidity.

Since the inside is not enameled, the leached iron and tannin may bind and discolor the tea. It is harmless to the human body.

DESCRIPTION

The iron kettle named Miyabi possesses a distinctive and unique silhouette. Its lid and base both adopt an octagonal shape, curving outward in a straight and precise manner.

In the realm of Japanese symbolism, the kanji character for the number eight bears a resemblance to a folding fan, rendering it a harbinger of auspiciousness. The octagonal configuration, reminiscent of musical instruments such as violins or acoustic guitars, also evokes the semblance of the human form, thereby imparting a feeling of comfort.

With a modest weight of approximately 1 kg, this kettle assumes a relatively diminutive stature within the category of iron kettles. Its interior is devoid of enamel, having undergone a kama-yaki process, thereby enhancing its allure for individuals seeking to incorporate supplemental iron into their routine.

2-in-1 Iron kettle and teapot type

You can use this type not only to boil water over an open flame, but also as a teapot with a tea strainer inside.

Nambu ironware is produced using the traditional technique called "kama-yaki" to generate an oxide layer on the surface. It leads to "rust resistance" and "dissolved iron effect" and makes tea and coffee taste better.
