Notice

The surface is coated with an antirust oxide layer using the traditional technique called kama-yaki, but because it is cast iron, rust may occur due to moisture and humidity.

Since the inside is not enameled, the leached iron and tannin may bind and discolor the tea. It is harmless to the human body.

DESCRIPTION

Presenting a square iron kettle—a departure from the octagonal shape favored by certain tea masters of yore. This particular kettle, however, boasts a flawless square silhouette.

Conceived by our seventh-generation craftsman approximately three decades ago, it showcases a textured arare pattern across its surface, rendering a delightful tactile experience.

For those accustomed to the familiarity of circular forms, its novel structure promises to elicit a sense of wonder. The placement of the spout at a corner ensures the effortless and precise dispensing of hot water.

The concept of a square iron pot has often been hailed as pioneering, though it is pertinent to note that realizing this design is a notably intricate endeavor.

Moreover, it stands as an emblematic masterpiece from the Heisei era (1989–2019), garnering greater admiration from international patrons than its domestic audience.

Enhanced by hues of blue and gold, it conjures an imagery of a starlit, moonlit night, with its arare pattern and knob contributing to this celestial aura.

2-in-1 Iron kettle and teapot type

You can use this type not only to boil water over an open flame, but also as a teapot with a tea strainer inside.

Nambu ironware is produced using the traditional technique called "kama-yaki" to generate an oxide layer on the surface. It leads to "rust resistance" and "dissolved iron effect" and makes tea and coffee taste better.
