DESCRIPTION
The plum blossoms have been loved since ancient times, announcing the coming of spring after a harsh, cold winter.
In Japan, pine, bamboo, and plum blossoms are considered lucky charms.
Oitomi 6th created this Tetsubin with plum blossoms about 50 years ago. The name of this Tetsubin is "Shinonome" meaning "Dawn" in Japanese. It was inspired by the symbolism of the coming of spring, the clouds in the east, where the sun rises, and the dawn of day.
It is characterized by being easy to grip and pour. The handle is gently arched.
Hisago color is Oitomi's proprietary aging paint.
