Notice

The surface is coated with an antirust oxide layer using the traditional technique called kama-yaki, but because it is cast iron, rust may occur due to moisture and humidity.

Since the inside is not enameled, the leached iron and tannin may bind and discolor the tea. It is harmless to the human body.

DESCRIPTION

The esteemed design of an auspicious gourd shape, conceived by our sixth generation, is revered and held dear internationally. It is offered by an enduring tea establishment in France, exemplifying its recognition abroad.

Upon a careful count, six gourds grace this design, a number that symbolizes "perfect health" in Japanese tradition. Our reverence for superstitious beliefs has persisted as an integral aspect of daily life since ancient times.

Despite its modest dimensions, this piece includes a tea strainer, rendering it versatile for use as a teapot as well.

To challenge the conventional belief that iron cannot be integrated into a teapot, the interior remains unenameled, allowing for the infusion of iron and the transformation into a delightful vessel for brewing tea.

2-in-1 Iron kettle and teapot type

You can use this type not only to boil water over an open flame, but also as a teapot with a tea strainer inside.

Nambu ironware is produced using the traditional technique called "kama-yaki" to generate an oxide layer on the surface. It leads to "rust resistance" and "dissolved iron effect" and makes tea and coffee taste better.
