Notice

The surface is coated with an antirust oxide layer using the traditional technique called kama-yaki, but because it is cast iron, rust may occur due to moisture and humidity.
Since the inside is not enameled, the leached iron and tannin may bind and discolor the tea. It is harmless to the human body.

DESCRIPTION

Our aspiration is to craft Nambu ironware that seamlessly integrates with a diverse range of interior aesthetics, be it Western or Japanese in essence.

Guided by this resolute vision, the intricate grain pattern has been meticulously curated from an array of design sketches meticulously drawn by our eighth-generation artisan. Notably, the knob bears a resemblance to a delicate flower bud.

Standing tall and boasting a voluminous capacity of 0.6 liters, this kettle surpasses the dimensions of Arare (small) or Hisago variations.

The strainer, similarly elevated in stature and generously proportioned, facilitates the optimal unfurling of tea leaves. Beyond its utility in boiling water for daily needs, this piece also transcends to function as an elegant teapot.

The coloration of Hisago derives from Oitomi's exclusive aging paint technique.

2-in-1 Iron kettle and teapot type

You can use this type not only to boil water over an open flame, but also as a teapot with a tea strainer inside.
Nambu ironware is produced using the traditional technique called "kama-yaki" to generate an oxide layer on the surface. It leads to "rust resistance" and "dissolved iron effect" and makes tea and coffee taste better.
