The surface is coated with an antirust oxide layer using the traditional technique called kama-yaki, but because it is cast iron, rust may occur due to moisture and humidity.

Since the inside is not enameled, the leached iron and tannin may bind and discolor the tea. It is harmless to the human body.

DESCRIPTION

The crane and pine tree have been cherished motifs in Japan since ancient times. On the front of the iron kettle (with the spout facing right, as is the case with Nanbu ironware), a crane is depicted, while on the back, a pine tree is featured.

Marked by its ergonomic design, it is distinguished by its ease of handling and pouring, aided by the gracefully arched handle.

The "Hisago" color encapsulates Oitomi's proprietary aging paint technique.
